Pricing and Markup

Every Dutch API rate, the fee fields in each response, and how to add your own markup.

These are the exact rates Dutch charges API users. You can add your own markup on top of any of them and keep it as profit. Dutch adds no fees on top of the rates listed here and takes no share of your markup.

How fees appear in responses

Every fee or quotation response returns a fees object. rule is fixed or percentage, ruleDetail explains which tier applied, dutchFee is the Dutch API rate, markup is your own margin and totalFee is what your customer pays. All three amounts are in the currency shown in currency.

• markupPercent: your markup as a percentage of the amount. Optional.
• markupFixed: your fixed markup in the request currency. Optional.
• Send either one, or both. If you send neither, markup is 0 and totalFee equals dutchFee.

Each case below shows the request and the fees object in the response. Amounts in other currencies are indicative, using the exchange rates listed below.

Cameroon mobile money collection, percentage fee plus your markup

Customer pays 10,000 XAF. Dutch charges 2% (200 XAF). You add a 1% markup (100 XAF).

A deposit of 160,000 XAF (about $250.00, UGX 1,056,106) is above 100,000 XAF, so Dutch charges 2%. You add a 0.5% markup.

The rates above are standard rates. As your volume grows you can negotiate lower fee tiers with Dutch. Your markup stays yours.

Fees are set in USD, XAF or as a percentage. Local-currency and XAF amounts are indicative, at US$1 = 640 XAF and the rates above, and may differ slightly with the live rate.
